Sélection officielle du syndicat des crus bourgeois 2008

Suite à l'annulation du classement des crus bourgeois de 2003, le syndicat des crus bourgeois a décidé de présenter chaque année une sélection officielle, à compter du millésime 2008. Cette présentation s'effectue deux ans plus tard.
Pour le millésime 2008, présenté le 8 octobre 2010. Il y avait 290 candidats. Il y a eu 243 châteaux sélectionnés soit 84 % de crus retenus.
Les crus sélectionnés ont le droit d'utiliser la mention cru bourgeois uniquement pour le millésime 2008.
Les crus se répartissent de la façon suivante:

81 Crus Bourgeois en Haut-Médoc (33%).
12 Crus Bourgeois en Listrac (5%).
13 Crus Bourgeois en Margaux (5%).
96 Crus Bourgeois en Médoc (40%).
12 Crus Bourgeois en Moulis (5%).
5 Crus Bourgeois en Pauillac (2%).
22 Crus Bourgeois en Saint-Estèphe (9%).
2 Crus Bourgeois en Saint-Julien (1%).

Les crus retenus dans cette sélection représentent 22 % de la surface du Médoc en production (3500 hectares) et 30 % de la production (187500 hectolitres).
